Classic

Classic is the reference clock. There is nothing to it but a circle, twelve marks, and three hands — and yet, like a blank sheet of paper, it asks every other clock on this site to justify its decoration. We keep returning to it. The dial is warm ivory rather than white; the hands taper to fine points; the second hand sweeps continuously, not because it is more accurate but because it is quieter to watch. Set it on a second monitor and forget about it.
